Vijender Singh registers second win in pro boxing

Since the time Vijender decided to make his name in the professional boxing world, he has been fierce more than ever. He won his first fight and now he won his second fight again. He ruthlessly knocked out England’s Dean Gillen in the opening round at the National Stadium in Dublin.

He needed only one round to defeat his opponent and register his second consecutive victory in the professional boxing world.

The former Olympic Bronze Medalist, made his entry in the typical Indian Punjabi style with all the beats dhols. He looked extremely confident and then he looked at his opponent for few seconds. Its been said, in the professional fights, the fighters can understand a lot by just looking into each other eyes.

With a fierce and deadly punch straight to the jaw of Gillen, showed him that he is tough. Vijender then kept on increasing the pressure on Gillen and sent him crashing to the ropes again just before the first round ended. This was something that Nottingham boxer was unable to recover from.

For Gillen, it was something which he never expected and it was too much for him, from which he did not recover at all and did not had the courage to get up at all after going down for the second time in the fight.

I’m working hard with my coaches, 2-0 I’m very happy. Everything has changed, I’m learning. I’m doing OK!” Vijender said after the bout.

Earlier Vijender Singh thrashed Sonny Whiting in his debut match in the professional boxing world. Since then Vijender Singh is working hard to make a name in the professional boxing and he seems promising.

Keeping in mind, that the sports facility in India is not that great except for cricket, Vijender did a fantastic job and is still doing a lot of hard work and making all of us proud. He is with no doubt making high standards and bringing in a lot of confidence in boxing for future generations in India.

We wish him all the luck and hope he makes our country even more proud and bring in a lot of accolades for the country.
